Gurdjieff Sacred Dances - Movement and Breath

  • Barlaston Village Hall 1 Longton Road Barlaston, Stoke-on-Trent ST12 9AA United Kingdom (map)

Gurdjieff Sacred Dances are a powerful and transformative tool for observation, centering, maintaining state of presence and inviting more acceptance to daily life. Filled with solemn beauty and purity, Gurdjieff Sacred Dances are harmonizing and aligning together the mind with the heart and a conscious movement of the body.

Gurdjieff Sacred Dances group practice enable us to step out of our own routine and patterns and allows us to be taken by each moment in a dance together with people who are sharing the same longing to live in more conscious and loving way.

During the workshop we will pay attention to the body alignment, we engage both – the right and the left part of the brain; we will work with coordination and integration of different parts of the body.
We will take distance from our thoughts and emotions and explore the quality of the movement that comes from the stillness within.

The workshop will include different Gurdjieff movements, body awareness exercises, meditation, free flow dance, sharing and a breathwork session to integrate the process.

In a playful yet meditative space you will get in touch with your authenticity, connect with your essence and experience that moment of being in a flow, when the dancer becomes the dance and we allow ourselves to simply BE.
